• 2-3 yards of fabric (cotton, linen, etc) per panel

• Scissors

• Chalk or fabric marker

• Iron and ironing board

• Sewing machine and coordinating thread

• Curtain rod or clips

Step By Step Guide

Cut Fabric to Size

Measure your window and add 8-10 inches to each side for the rod pocket and hemming. Cut fabric panels to this measurement.

Create the Scallop Pattern

Use chalk to draw arched, scalloped lines along one short side of the fabric, about 6 inches deep. Space each scallop 4-6 inches apart.

Cut the Scallops

Carefully cut along the chalk lines to create the scalloped edge at the bottom of the panel.

Hem the Edges

Fold over the top short edge 1⁄4 inch and press. Then fold it over again 3 inches to create a rod pocket. Sew in place. Fold over the sides and bottom scalloped edge 1⁄4 inch and press. Then fold again 1⁄2 inch and sew to hem.
